How to add an AI avatar to a WordPress site
Copy the one-line Jalpa code from your portal and paste it into your WordPress site header. The avatar appears on every page you allow.

Before you start
You need a Jalpa account (Smartfiz sets it up for you) and permission to edit your WordPress site. Your website address must be on your list of allowed websites in the portal.
Step 1: copy your code
Sign in to your Jalpa portal and open the install page. Copy the line that starts with <script src=. It contains your site key.
Step 2: add it to WordPress
- In WordPress, install a plugin that adds code to the site header (for example a "header and footer code" plugin), or use your theme’s header code setting.
- Paste the Jalpa line into the header or footer code box.
- Save, then open your website in a new browser window.
Step 3: check it works
You should see the launcher button in the corner. Open it and ask a question about your organisation. If nothing shows, check that the website address in your portal exactly matches your site, including www.
Other website builders
The same line works on any site that lets you add code to the page, such as Squarespace, Wix or a custom site.
